Obituary for Nicholas T. Lucca

Nicholas T. Lucca of Doylestown, PA passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was 89.

Born in Long Island City, NY to the late Michael and Rose (Laurita) Lucca, Nicholas resided in Woodside, Queens, NY and N. Ft. Myers, FL, before moving to Doylestown in 1992.

He was formerly employed as a General Contractor then a US Postal Driver for 30 years, before retirement. Nicholas was a US Naval Veteran of World War II; a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church of Doylestown, PA; loved horseracing and was a sports enthusiast.

He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Katherine (Redavid) Lucca; devoted father of Rosemarie Orlando and husband Brian Fellin; Michael Lucca and wife Diane; dear brother of Clotilda Magariello and husband Gerard, and the late Josephine Casturani; loving grandfather of Nicholas, Christopher and Kathryn Lucca, Bryan and Nicholas Radzicki; cherished great-grandfather of Benjamin and Samuel Radzicki; also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10:00 am. The family will receive their friends from 9:15-10:00 am prior to mass.

Burial will be held in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Flushing, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950 or www.stjude.org would be appreciated.
