Charles T. Gallagher of Bensalem, PA passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 after a brief illness, in Aria-Jefferson Health-Torresdale Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. He was surrounded by his children, family and friends. He was 80 years old.

Born in Boston, MA to the late Charles L. and Grace C. (Barrett) Gallagher, he resided in Southampton, PA before moving to Bensalem, PA 27 years ago.

Charles spent his career as a store manager with Sears Roebuck and Co. for 36 years, retiring in 1993. He later was employed with Limo Today of Bensalem for over 8 years and was a former supervisor at Mercer Oaks Country Club of New Jersey. Charles was a US Naval Veteran having served during the Korean War. Charles was a life-long avid golfer and former long time member of Trenton Country Club. He also proudly served as the golf team coach for many years for both Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, NJ and The College of New Jersey.

He was the former husband of the late Claire M. (Kade) Gallagher, loving father of Kerry M. Sherman and former husband Michael, Michael Gallagher and wife Sharon, proud grandfather of Adam and Justin Sherman and Brendan and Collin Gallagher, dear brother of Gerald Gallagher and wife Jean, Marcia Cox and husband Kenny, and the late Bruce Gallagher, who is survived by his wife Roberta.

A celebration of his life and memorial service will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive all friends and loved ones 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. prior to service at 1:00 p.m.

Cremation services were private.
