Maria Batko of Kintnersville, PA passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 in the Golden Living Center, Doylestown, PA. She was 93.

Born in the Ukraine, Maria immigrated to the United States on September 5, 1951 and settled with her family in Philadelphia. She then resided in Perkasie, PA before moving to Kintnersville 22 years ago.

Maria was formerly employed as a seamstress with NFC Industries of Plumsteadville, PA for 10 years, before retiring at the age of 91. She continued to work as a seamstress throughout her life and recently on a part-time basis. Maria also enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.

She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Batko; devoted mother of Alice Nicholas and husband Gary; loving grandmother of Dr. Nikolai Bildzukewicz and wife Christina, and Sonya Messick; cherished great-grandmother of Anastasia, Zachary and Sophia Bildzukewicz, Madison and Mason Messick, and Alex Wolf.

Cremation services were private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home/Central Bucks Crematory, Inc., 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
