Obituary for Gray Sala Paulus

Gray Sala Paulus of Warminster, PA passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 in Chandler Hall, Newtown, PA. She was 80.

Born on October 5, 1935, in Atlanta, GA, to Anne and Robert Sala. While growing up in Atlanta and Panama City, FL, she was an avid sailor and an accomplished marksman. She attended FSU and studied theater. Mrs. Paulus met the love of her life, Robert M. Paulus, at an Air Force officers ball in Florida and 6 weeks later they were married. Mr. and Mrs. Paulus were stationed in Japan for one year and then returned to the states where they settled in East Brunswick, NJ.

Mrs. Paulus chose the noble profession of Homemaker and Mom and raised 4 amazing children. She was also the voice of Pat Joyce on WCTC radio in New Brunswick in the 1960's and early '70's. She loved participating in her bowling league, reading, working in the garden, attacking her challenging crossword puzzles, cooking the most amazing family meals and spending time with her many friends and family.

Mr. And Mrs. Paulus retired to Pt. Pleasant, NJ, and then moved to Ann's Choice in Warminster, PA, in 2010.

Mrs. Paulus is predeceased by her husband, Robert, and her daughter, Laura Paulus Debarba. She is survived by her sister, Lea Fuller and husband, Bruce, from CA; her children; Robert Paulus, Jr. of Titusville, NJ; daughter Ellen Hill and her husband, Jeffrey, and their children, Catie, Nick and Scott; son Todd Paulus and his wife, RoseMarie, and their children, Todd and Alexa; grandchildren from Laura . . . Michael Eppel and his fiancé, Katie Szmidt, from Philadelphia, Chris and Samantha Eppel from East Brunswick, NJ; son-in-law Robert DeBarba from Phoenix, AZ; she also leaves behind her beloved cat, Patches, and her many friends who brought so much love, laughter and joy to her life.

A memorial service to celebrate the bright life of Gray Paulus will be held at The Chapel at Ann’s Choice, 30000 Ann’s Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974 on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 10:00 am.

Interment will be private in Elmwood Cemetery, North Brunswick, NJ.
