Obituary for Farajollah Zivari

LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY - Farajollah was born to Jehudi and Keshvar Zaboori on March 14, 1931 in Kashan, Iran. The the late 50s he came to the United States for an education. He also wanted to leave Iran because of the hostile environment there for Bahais. He was a life long adherent of the Bahai Faith. He attended Clemson University in South Carolina where he got a degree in Architecture in 1960.

After he finished his studies, he resided in New York City. He began graduate studies at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. There, he was very lucky to meet and marry the beautiful, Ingeborg Zivari (nee Bruegmann), who had recently arrived from Heidelberg, Germany. He was able to obtain citizenship in the United States through the German quota, as he had married a German National. He was proud to be an American Citizen.

Mr. Zivari had a career as an architect and was a talented artist and avid chess player.

They raised their children in Waldwick, NJ. In 1986, he moved with his wife to Newtown, PA. In 2008, he moved to Lexington, KY to be close to his daughter, Suzanne.

He was predeceased by his wife Ingeborg Zivari in 1997. He is survived by his three children and their spouses: Bashir Zivari and Pamela Zivari, Andrea Zivari-Giannoglou and Panagiotis (a.k.a. Pete ) Giannoglou, Suzanne Zivari and Scott Gleeson. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren: Sojourner Gleeson, Paul Giannoglou, Lillian Giannoglou, Eliot Gleeson, Camilla Zivari, Karl Giannoglou, Sarah Gleeson, Margot Zivari and Alexander Giannoglou.

A service will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 12 Noon.

The family will receive friends from 11 am - 12 Noon prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be held in Doylestown Cemetery, Doylestown, PA.
