Obituary for Louisa Whitten (Skoog)
Born in Shawangunk, NY, Mrs. Whitten resided in Doylestown, PA since 1935 and was a former resident of Plainfield, NJ and Manhattan, NY.
She was formerly employed as a Legal Secretary with the legal offices of Eastburn & Gray, PC of Doylestown, PA and was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ and an associate member of Doylestown United Methodist Church, both of Doylestown, PA.
Louisa was the beloved wife of the late Leonard E. Whitten, devoted mother of Karen Aduba and husband Amechi, dear sister of Martha Skoog, loving grandmother of Amechi, Ifeoma and Nnamdi Aduba, cherished great-grandmother of Phoenix and Trinity Edmond, and Willow Cosby.
A graveside service will be held at Doylestown Cemetery, 215 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA on Friday, March 15th at 11 am.
A memorial service will be held at Doylestown United Methodist Church, 320 E. Swamp Road, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Saturday, April 6th at 1 pm
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Louisa's memory to the Doylestown United Methodist Church, Doylestown, PA or the Salem United Church of Christ, 186 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
