NORTH WALES, PENNSYLVANIA - Brian A. Pinsley, of Montgomeryville, PA passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013. He was 69 years old.
Born in Cambridge, MA to the late Arthur and Barbara Fischel Pinsley, he resided in North Wales, PA for 40 years and was a former resident Philadelphia and Jenkintown, PA.
Brian was a thoughtful and generous man and a frequent volunteer for children's activities. He was a Big Brother to two children for more than 10 years. As a youth, he was an accomplished runner and volleyball player. He coached the local softball team for several decades as a way of empowering children through sports. He loved helping kids enjoy their childhood and advance their skills. As a universal blood donor, he regularly gave blood at the local blood donation center and convinced many others to join him. Brian was a self-employed computer programmer and systems analyst for 35 years and was a US Army Veteran having served in the National Guard.
He is beloved husband of three years to Sue (Kelley) Pinsley, loving father Mark and Nina Pinsley of Allentown, PA, Rachael Pinsley of West Chester, PA and Scott Pinsley of Northampton, PA, dear brother of Arnold G. Pinsley and wife, Linda Kopans of Natick, MA, cherished grandfather of Jada and Grant Pinsley of Allentown, PA, also the uncle of Emily Franks, Andrew and James Spindler, and Edward Schultz.
A memorial service will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Wednesday, March 6th at 11:30 am. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am - 11:30am prior to the service at the funeral home.
