Obituary for Mary E. Wasikonis

BUCKINGHAM, PENNSYLVANIA - Mary E. Wasikonis (nee Ryan) of Buckingham Township, PA passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013 in The Solana, North Wales, PA. She was 89 years old.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mary resided in Buckingham, PA for 7 years and was a former resident of Glenside, PA for 24 years.

Mary was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church of Buckingham, PA and was a former member of St. Luke the Evangelist Church and the church senior citizens club of Glenside, PA. She enjoyed reading, drawing, cooking and especially spending time with her family.

She was the wife of the late John M. Wasikonis, devoted mother of Mary A. Swanson and husband Art, John T. Wasikonis, Mark J. Wasikonis and wife Morgan, dear sister of Catherine Wheeler, Martin Ryan, and the late Joseph and Thomas Ryan, and Anna Procopio, loving grandmother of Jamie, Mark, Stefanie, Taylor, Matthew and Adalee, cherished great grandmother of Keeran and Eleanor.

A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5175 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown, PA 18902 on Saturday, September 28th at 11 am. The family will receive their friends from 10-11 am at the church prior to mass.

Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Alzheimer' s Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106 would be appreciated.
