Obituary for Jo Ann Beistline

CHALFONT, PENNSYLVANIA - Jo Ann Beistline of Chalfont, PA passed away at her residence surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 13, 2014.

Born in Frankfurt, Germany to Robert and Martha Doyle Flanders, Jo Ann was a former resident of Ft. Smith, AR before moving to Chalfont in 1997.

Jo Ann received a Bachelor of Education Degree from Cameron University, OK and later worked as a choir director in various churches around the world while travelling with her family and husband as they were stationed in the military. She was formerly employed as the music director with the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run of Perkasie, PA for over 6 years prior to her illness. Jo Ann was the choir director, taught kids choir and bells for the church. She enjoyed her love of music, reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

She is the beloved wife of 42 years to Donald E. Beistline, Jr., devoted mother of Jacob Beistline, John Beistline and wife Jenna, and Jared Beistline, cherished daughter of Martha Flanders, dear sister of Judy Johnson and partner Paula Pitts, Janet Loyd and husband William, loving grandmother of Tatum and Travis Beistline, daughter-in-law of Miriam Beistline, aunt of Amanda, Anna, Meghan, Philip and Taylor.

A memorial service will be held at the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run, 16 Irish Meetinghouse Road, Perkasie, PA 18944 on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run in memory of Jo Ann would be appreciated.

Private cremation services were under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, Doylestown, PA.
