DOYLESTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA - Ruth A. Wetherill of Doylestown, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington, PA. She was 82.

Born in Abington, PA Ruth resided in Doylestown for 30 years and was a former resident of Hatboro and Warminster, PA.

She was formerly employed as a telephone operator with Bell Telephone, and was formerly employed with the Johnsville Air Development Center and Holicong Security, retiring in 2007. Ruth enjoyed playing and watching tennis and was a member of the Northampton Racquet Club. She was also an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.

She is the devoted mother of Susan Wetherill and Arlene Wetherill, dear step-mother of Pamela Wright and the late Joseph Wetherill, Jr., also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Doylestown Cemetery, Doylestown, PA.
