DOYLESTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA - Jadwiga Deren, 85, of Doylestown, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at her home with family by her side.
After being taken from her home in Poland and making a long arduous journey through Russia, the Middle East and Asia to the States, she went on to graduate from Chestnut Hill College, marry and then raise her young family as a single parent after losing her husband to cancer. She also became a successful business woman while continuing her devotion to caring for, and always cherishing her time with her family and friends.
Those who knew Jadzia recognized her as an amazing woman who continually overcame hardships to live life gracefully and full of love and friendship.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Thaddeus L. Deren, she was the dear sister of Konstanty Cholon and his family, devoted mother of Thomas Deren, Mark Deren and wife Sara Katherine, Basia Deren Braddish and her husband Kevin Braddish, loving grandmother of Diana, Ian Conor and Kevin Jr.
A visitation will be held at the Varcoe Thomas Funeral Home of Doylestown, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Thursday, April 9th from 11 am - 12:30 pm.
A funeral mass will follow at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in the Cemetery Chapel, 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA 18901 at 1 pm. Burial will follow in the Shrine Cemetery.
