PERKASIE, PENNSYLVANIA - David J Hewlett, 70, retired Navy, died at his home on Monday, July 6, 2015.
He was born December 19, 1944, in Pittsburgh, Pa to the late Helen and Howard Hewlett, Sr.
David and his bride of 45 years, Mary J. Hewlett, moved to Bucks County in 1985 after serving 20 years in the US Navy where he served as a machinist. Mr. Hewlett was most happy when he was celebrating or visiting with family and friends. His kind heart and fun loving nature brightened the lives of everyone he met.
He was the dear brother of Virginia Kotermanski-Schwick and husband Bernie, Douglas Hewlett, Janet Bubenheim and husband Timothy, Christine Hewlett-Hayden, Robert Hewlett, Marcy Hewlett and her life-partner Gail Gamertsfelder, and the late Howard Hewlett, Jr., Romayne and Leonard Hewlett, also survived by many nieces and nephews and a dear friend Monique Neault.
Respecting his wishes, Mr. Hewlett will have a celebratory gathering at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 N. Main St, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Saturday, July 25th from 2-5pm for family and close friends with private burial service in Pittsburgh. The family wishes to express sincere thanks for the friends and extended family that have expressed respect and love during this time.
