Obituary for David Christopher Henry

DOYLESTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA - David Christopher Henry went to be with his Lord on Thursday, September 10, at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and three children. He was born on July 27, 1945 in Passaic, New Jersey to Edwin I. Henry and Helen A. Stephenson Henry. David grew up in various towns in southeastern Pennsylvania as the family joined his father at his different ministries.

Many local families will remember David as the trusted owner of Lucky Dog Professional Pet Sitting. David lovingly cared for their pets while they were at work or on holiday. He earned his BS in Mathematics from Ursinus College and upon graduation, served his country during the Vietnam War as a Photogrammetrist for the CIA. Later he worked in sales management with Meade Johnson Nutritionals and Venodyne.

David was the devoted husband of Audrey Wettach Henry, and is also survived by his sons Jason Henry and Kevin Henry (his wife, Peg), daughter Jennifer Menet (her husband, Matt); grandchildren Gavin and Avery Henry and Ryan and Jonathan Menet; his sister-in-law Eleanor H. Wettach of Jackson, MS; niece Lynne Miller; nephews Craig Miller (his wife, Beth), Webb Collums (his wife, Holly) and Edward Wettach IV (his wife, Brittany) and grand nieces Hannah and Emma Collums. In addition to his parents, David was also predeceased by his sister Patricia Miller, brother Stephen Henry and brother-in-law Edward Wettach III.

David was celebrated by his friends and family at his 70th birthday party in July. They will remember him as an eternal optimist with a witty personality who was always there when his friends or family needed him. His understanding of human nature inspired us all to look at each person as a unique individual.

There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Lenape Valley Church, 321 W. Butler Avenue, New Britain, PA 18901. Visitation hour with the family will occur at 10:00 am with the Memorial Service immediately following at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation call (800) 753- 2873 or send tribute gifts to PKD Foundation, P.O. Box 871847, Kansas City, MO 64187-1847.
