Obituary for Ann E. Bass
Born in Hagerstown, MD to the late Rex H. and Mary Knepper Cross, Ann resided in Funkstown, MD, before moving to Doylestown in 1954.
Ann was a graduate of Hagerstown High School Class of 1939 and the Franklin Square School of Nursing in 1943 with a Registered Nurse Degree. She worked at the Franklin Square Hospital and US Marine Hospital in Baltimore, MD, the Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, NC and Doylestown Hospital.
Ann was a member of the Doylestown Senior Citizen Center, V.I.A., volunteered at Doylestown Hospital and was a Past President of the original Maplewood Women s Club.
She is the beloved wife of the late FBI Agent Noah (Sam) Bass, devoted mother of Eric Bass of Florida Keys, Cinda Martin and husband William of Naples, FL and Dixie Ann Bass of Doylestown, and loving grandmother of Noah Russell Cole.
Cremation services were private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, Central Bucks Crematory, Inc., Doylestown, PA
