NEW HOPE, PENNSYLVANIA - Mary “Betty” Mathews of New Hope, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in the Attleboro Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Langhorne, PA. She was 96.

Born in New Hope, PA to the late Donald and Rose (Koch) Hartman, Betty was a lifelong resident of New Hope, PA.

She was a graduate of New Hope High School and a lifelong member of the Solebury United Methodist Church.

Betty was the beloved wife of the late Charles “Chap” Mathews; devoted mother of Charles Mathews of Norristown, PA and the late Nancy Mathews; dear sister of the late Donald Hartman and Agnes Howard; also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held at the Holcombe-Riverview Cemetery, Lambertville, PA on Friday, March 25th at 11:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Solebury United Methodist Church, 2536 Aquatong Road, New Hope, PA 18938 would be appreciated.
